This final works of the spring semester 2017 were printed using acetone transfer of the images with mono print from my recent nightmares.  According to Carl Jung’ theory, dream is a place where the ego-human nature- and the self-the person’s soul and center-meets.  A self can work out with ego to balance the spirit and the body. These dreams convey many symbols. They could lead an individual to complete the self-actualization or enlightenment. However, people neglect the importance of their dreams because of their busy life and materialism in these days. As the result, people’s body and soul are easily unbalanced.

The use of ambiguous shape is intentional by the acetone transfer; it indicates the dream that I cannot remember clearly. Expression of emotional strokes, the subtle images, compositional proportion and space, they all connect with my anxiety. By using red and black mono print, and drawing a white flower bud symbolizes that I would hope to overcome difficulties of my future.

I hope my work could stimulate the viewers’ imagination and provide them with opportunity to search the interest of their dream for harmony of their lives.
